Juliette et Chocolat offers a wide variety of chocolaty goodness, including crepês and fondue. The St. Denis restaurant is usually packed, but there's another larger branch on Laurier which has the same menu and prices. La Maison Cakao sells delicious brownies and hot chocolate in this quaint store for dark chocolate lovers. The owner orders 64 per cent dark chocolate bars from France for the shop's cocoa-loving clientele.

Genvieve Grandbois serves desserts from a combination of European chocolatiers. Although a little pricey, the chocolates have exotic flavors such as peppers or saffron. They even offer a delivery service if you're too lazy to walk down.

Divine Chocolatier is reputed for homemade Belgian chocolates, especially the dark chocolate truffles which have earned mention in the Montreal Gazette. Their Valentine's Day specials are particularly enticing and include white chocolate roses.

Chocolat Belge imports chocolates from Belgium, and amongst their best-selling are the Tentation ganaches, the vanilla Caprice, and the Manon selection, the latter of which are chocolates made with butter cream.

Godiva Chocolates is well known and overpriced, but still undeniably good. They are for sale at a stand downstairs in the back of Ogilvy. This is perfect for picking up some of the renowned chocolate while shopping. There is also a stand in the Eaton Centre.
