McGill doesn't have a journalism program. Consider The McGill Tribune a good replacement.
Many professional journalists begin by working at a university newspaper. Real-world experience across a variety of platforms is an essential part of jump-starting your career - and if that's what you're looking for, you're in the right place.
The McGill Tribune has covered McGill, Canada and the world since 1981. A wide variety of content - News, Opinion, Features, Arts & Entertainment and Sports - and a reputation for unbiased reporting make us the perfect choice for learning the trade. Our editors have gone on to work and write for magazines, national newspapers and international media companies - all before graduation.
No previous experience is required - many of our contributors are first-time reporters. When you start writing for a section, you'll be paired with a team of dedicated editors who will help you learn and improve as you go.
And if you're interested in photojournalism or graphic design, we've got a spot for you, too. Email
photo@mcgilltribune.com to learn more - no camera required.
Whatever you're interested in, be sure to
email us or drop by the office. Even if you discover that journalism isn't your calling, don't forget to pick us up every Tuesday and visit us online at www.mcgilltribune.com.
