If he was not driven by a desire to acquire wealth, why did he steal millions of shareholder's cash, as a jury he found he had done. And that was after a four-month trial in which he was defended by one of the most formidable and expensive legal teams ever assembled.
And why did a Canadian want to be part of an anachronistic and undemocratic legislative body in a foreign country.
He is a convicted fraudster and should try to save whatever vestige of dignity he still has by taking his punishment like a man and doing his porridge.
